Amphetamine King

Based on the soon to be released novel written by Alexander Gonzales alias Felix the Cat, Amphetamine King is a distinctive crime saga of a Texas drug kingpin dealing with a series of inner conflicts and emotions. His affiliation with drug lord Jacky Ronald Pace of Hurst, Texas helped Felix rise from a Latino Texas minion to drug kingpin by perfecting the manufacturing and distribution of Amphetamines in the mid to late 1980’s. Jacky Ronald Pace was convicted on September 15, 1989, by a district court jury of all counts of a nine-count indictment charging him with conspiracy to commit specific controlled substance offenses, various substantive drug offenses, and using a firearm in relation to a drug offense. Even though Jacky Pace was convicted in 1989, his capture was in 1985. Felix kept the Amphetamine market alive after Jacky Pace’s demise.

Felix the Cat is the first Latino American to perfect the ultimate bridge between criminals and the law enforcement officials in the state of Texas. His whereabouts and motives are always being monitored, hindered, disrupted and sometimes even accompanied by the Texas Law Enforcement, Federal Authorities, and the notorious Earl Daves.

Earl Daves and various cartel drug lords capitalize on Felix two tremendous weaknesses, women and living the elevated high life. The more he tries to depart the drug game, the deeper he gets involved. His involvement even leads to a false jail detention associated with the hideous Ricky Green serial sex murders, and sees him going under deep cover to investigate the Lake Worth, Texas bombing.

The contrasts between Felix and a multitude of foes are set up to constantly keep the guess game alive in “Amphetamine King.” As with any successful drug lord, Felix floods the streets of Fort Worth, Texas with top-quality methamphetamine drugs undercutting the competition's prices and reaping huge profits. Not even children are spared, as marijuana, cocaine, LSD and Felix’s top grade amphetamines are pushed upon the local population.

When crossed, Felix doesn't administer punishment personally. Instead, he hires Hardware Hank and the Whodunits to do his grimy work. Hardware Hank is a stocky fellow with gorilla-sized hands who adores the finer things in life. Hank always wears a Tommy Hilfiger suit, a tailor made shirt with diamond cuff links, a silk tie with a pin, and a pair of Bostonian shoes. The Whodunits are notorious for not having a specific identity but they get the job done. Their name says it all.

The upshot is the hammer coming down on Fort Worth cyclical drug lords. However, the ultimate blow is Felix the Cat coming to grips with losing the sanctity of his family’s trust and love for five life sentences behind bars.
