ARTIST OF THE WEEK

Inspirational singer/songwriter, Gari Glaysher, is this week’s Artist of the Week! Gari began his musical studies with piano and guitar; he has coached with prominent vocal coach Fernando Bandera in Italy and also worked with many music coaches from The Guildhall School of Music and Trinity School of Music. He is currently studying with the likes of Tenor Julian Gavin.

Gari recently performed his first major concert at the indigO2 at the O2 arena and his first recital at St Paul’s Cathedral. The DVD of the O2 concert is set for release later this year. Gari was on ITV’s “This Morning” singing “Somewhere” from West Side Story earlier this year. Gari also recently recored his debut album “Serenata,” which was released on 26th June. He has just returned from two sell out concerts in Florence and is singing at Groombridge Place and Hever Castle in July. His notables include perfomances for Prince Albert of Monaco, HRH Sophie, and The Countess of Wessex. Gari has also performed in opera and on the concert stage in England, Italy, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Spain and Canada. Venues have included The Royal Albert Hall, The Studio Theatre in The Royal Opera House Covent Garden, The Port Theatre (Vancouver), Hever Castle, The Royal Courts of Justice, The Natural History Museum, The Dali Museum, Squeryes Court, Chartwell, The Monastery (Manchester) and Groombridge Place. Gari is inspired by such artists as: Franco Corelli, Luciano Pavarotti, Louis Armstong, and Maria Callas. In his spare time, Gari enjoys martial arts, CKD, Horse riding, and Wind Surfing.
