Tommie is a musician from childhood, having studied classical piano and various other instruments and graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London. Musical influences at home, however, were many and varied, from jazz to ragtime, rock to reggae, blues through swing.

www.myspace.com/tommiesingahTommie's dream was to write, arrange, play, sing and produce her own work in the way she heard it; she doesn't immitate, emulate or replicate although of course all musicians are influenced by all music. And to some extent this dream has been achieved, with Tommie playing all the instruments on her songs, apart from drums and bass and of course
the tracks receive professional final mastering.
With much encouragement from friends and a beloved big brother with a well documented career as a rock/jazz bass player, Tommie's first ever single Can't Leave You Alone was released in October 2008 on Reverbnation and from nowhere climbed to the number 7 position in the Blues Chart there, where it stayed for 13 weeks. The Jazz Network at this time featured Tommie and this song in their front page spotlight for 3 months.
This success was followed by similar charting with Put Your Hands On Me and then I Want You To Hold Me plus Won't See Me For Dust which all kept Tommie in the top twenty of the Blues Chart. At this time, she also had the thrill of having three different songs in three different charts on Song Vault all at the number one spot!
The very latest release is How Wrong Could I Be which resulted in her being the featured artist on Global Thunda Network in Australia and has again brought her to the number one spot in the Reverbnation Blues Chart for NZ plus number 27 in the huge Global chart.
Just now there is huge interest in Tommie's Christmas song
Give Love For Christmas now spotlighted on the Jazz Network Worldwide,
on 2 compilation albums and bringing Tommie features on many websites, videos and radio stations around the world. This song is now nominated for an award for 2009......watch this space!!
www.myspace.com/tommiesingahwww.reverbnation.com/tommiesingahSuccess has also come from Tommie's working of traditional songs, such as her version of Red Red Rose designed with a film of Robert Burns' life in mind and she has been thrilled just recently to be elected an Honorary member of the Robert Burns Sociey in Scotland.
This song can be heard on Tommie's second MySpace site:
www.myspace.com/sweetazmuzicwhere there is also her version of the old Irish melody
'Macushlah' released for St. Patrick's Day 2009 and charting
currently on Irish Radio -
plus the only real 'cover' that Tommie has ever done which is
Love Letters - very very special.
And finally, Good Day which is an accoustic version of a very
different song from Tommie, now picked up for a new ad
campaign in the US starting in the Fall.
Radio stations in 194 countries around the world are now
playing Tommie Brewster's music and yet her first album has
yet to be released - this is now ready to go and should
coincide with her visit to the USA Spring 2010.
Please come and listen to the music from Tommie Brewster's world.
